Each graduate wrote a poem. Some of them were very heart felt and meaningful. My son on the other hand thought he would be funny!! I love that boy of mine!!

Brock had his final awards assembly this year at our elementary school. Every year they do an assembly to award the kids in grades 3-5 for all their hard work in different areas. Brock got awards for his Accelerated Reading, Student Council, Honor Roll, 50 Pacer Club, and the Presidential Fitness Award. Those were the awards that we were very happy with but then the big awards came at the end. Each year the classes vote on citizenship awards. This is based on character and just being an all around good person and Brock got the award this year!!!!!! Then it was down to the Presidential Award of Academic Excellence. In both classes there were only 2 kids that met the requirements!!! A few years back after watching other kids get this award Brock told me "I'm going to get that someday mom that is my goal" I knew if he tried he could do it but after they said only two kids total qualified my stomach started to turn I was really nervous for him. This is the kid that was crushed when he got a B because he was sure it took him out of the running. They announced the names and HE GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so proud of him and all his hard work!!!!!!!! So glad to have all the grandparents there to see him get this award he was really excited!!!

ones of them together didn't turn out so hot:0( Bryn of course fell face first on the cement floor the day before so she was looking great! The tulips hide her chin thank goodness!!

It's All Fun and Games Until Someone gets Hurt!

Brock was pole vaulting last night and during on of his practice exercises he hit a metal latch and cut his head open. The funny part was he was more mad then hurt. He was finally getting his turn that he has been working on for over a month and then he had to leave. His coach had promised him some BBQ if he got the turn!! On the way home from the ER he said "dang it I was really wanting some of that BBQ!" The one good thing that came out of these 7 staples....he is going to start wearing a helmet that I have wanted him to wear for a while!! Another wild story to add to his crazy medical stories!!

Happy 14th Birthday Bryson!!!!

Bryson turned 14 last week. It is hard to believe that he is already 14!! Two more years and he will be driving.... not sure if I am ready for that yet! I am so proud of who he is. He is a very caring young man that has a great sense of humor!! He is very proud of his faith and for that I am grateful. He has a wonderful group of friends that are just like family. We are so blessed and love this young man more and more everyday. Happy 14th Birthday Bryson!
